AlQa'dah 14, 1432, Oct 12, 2011, SPA - U.S. stocks finished mixed on Tuesday.
In world markets, European stocks ended mixed, as the CAC 40 in France fell 0.2 percent and the DAX in Germany rose 0.3 percent. Asian markets ended higher, led by the Hang Seng in Hong Kong rising 2.4 percent.
The Dow Jones industrial average fell 16.88, or 0.2 percent, to 11,416.30. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 0.65, or 0.1 percent, to 1,195.54. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index rose 16.98, or 0.7 percent, to 2,583.03.
