AlQa'dah 10, 1432, Oct 8, 2011, SPA - The Under Secretaries of Information Ministries in member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held a preparatory meeting here for the 19th GCC Information Ministers conference, scheduled to start tomorrow its deliberations in Abu Dhabi. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting is headed by Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdullah Bin Saleh Al-Jasser. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al-Jasser said the preparatory meeting discussed a number of topics related to the joint march of the media works particularly with regard to activating the media works of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the implementation of a media strategy approved by the GCC leaders at a summit meeting in Riyadh last May. He disclosed that the preparatory meeting also reviewed the findings of the media committee as regards the recommendations in the spheres of radio, television, the external media and news agencies. It also dealt with works to transform these recommendations into programs and projects in the (operational) process of all media organs. The meeting was also attended by Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information for External Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Saleh bin Salamah.
