AlQa'dah 10, 1432, Oct 8, 2011, SPA - South Korean President Lee Myung-bak has been invited to address a joint meeting of the U.S. Congress on October 13, House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner (Republican from Ohio) said Friday. The South Korean leader will be in Washington for a state visit next Thursday. His visit comes one day after both chambers of Congress hope to complete a long-delayed free-trade agreement with South Korea. Boehner said South Korea has been a strong ally and partner in “promoting democracy, advancing economic freedom, and combating nuclear proliferation.”
