AlQa'dah 7, 1432, Oct 5, 2011, SPA -- Private employers added 91,000 jobs in September, a report by payrolls processor ADP showed today. The ADP data came in above expectations. Economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast the ADP National Employment Report would show a gain of 75,000 jobs in September. August private payrolls were revised down to a rise of 89,000 jobs from the previously reported 91,000. "Job growth is positive, and that suggests to me the economy is not in recession," Joel Prakken, Chairman of Macroeconomic Advisers LLC, which jointly developed the report, told CNBC. The ADP figures come ahead of the government's much more comprehensive labor market report, due this Friday, which includes both public and private sector employment. Economists often refer to the ADP report to fine-tune their expectations for the payrolls numbers, though it is not always accurate in predicting the outcome.
