A man was bitten on Wednesday by a shark near Cape Town, in western South Africa, dpa cited the SAPA news agency as reporting. The adult male was being treated for injuries in hospital. Further details of the attack, which occurred at a point known as Fish Hoek, were not yet known. In August, a surfer was killed by a shark in the south of the country and about three months earlier a diver was injured by one off the coast of Durban.
