Bahrainis started this morning at 8 am (local time) heading to polling stations to cast their votes in the parliament by-elections and elect 14 new Members of Parliament (MPs), out of 55 candidates, in the Northern, Capital and Central Governorates, with 187,080 people eligible to cast their ballots. Four MPs have already been elected unopposed. The by-elections executive committee had finalized all logistic preparations to welcome voters. Voting is underway in 21 polling stations- 14 located in constituencies, in addition to seven public centers, according to a report of Bahrain News Agency (BNA). The Interior Ministry is stepping up security at polling stations to ensure voters' safety and the smooth flow of traffic heading to by-elections venues.
