The Palestinians' bid for statehood at the United Nations cannot harm Israel's security, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Wednesday. According to dpa, "Poland will very strongly defend the position that no changes in the region can threaten Israel's security," Tusk said. "That is why much depends on the specific content of the resolution." Poland, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union, has said it would aim to work out a unified stance on the issue in the 27-member bloc.
