Prince Abdulaziz bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah region has approved events and festivities to celebrate the Kingdom's National Day (September 23), to be held on Friday in a number of locations in Madinah and its governorates. The Governor called for the large-scale participation of youth in these events and festivities marking this national occasion as well as motivating and encouraging them to celebrate the event with creative activities by offering gifts and prizes to promote the national talents and potentials. He also directed security agencies, health and other concerned departments to strengthen their reserves and services so as to ensure success to all the national day ceremonies and festivities. "There is a need on part of everyone to express their joys and delight for the national day in line with the authentic Islamic values, reflecting our traditional civilization as well as the advancement achieved by our society as well as generation of the necessary spirits and national feelings among our citizens on the importance of this occasion, commemorating the efforts made to unite this country by late King Abdul-Aziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. The city has allocated Prince Mohammed bin Abdul-Aziz sports city as the major venue of the national day festivities and programs including fireworks displays and other sports and recreation events.
