French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev held official talks here today, which focused on means of boosting France's relations with Kazakhstan, one of France's strategic partners in Central Asia. A statement released after the 5th bilateral meeting, said the two Presidents hailed the start of talks last June on an accord of partnership, enhanced cooperation between the European Union (EU) and Kazakhstan and expressed optimism that these talks will end soon and (lead to success) as soon as possible.
