Saudi International Information Technology Conference Inaugurated

President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology Dr. Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel Inaugurated today the 2011 Saudi International Information Technology conference.
King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology is the organizer of the conference which is held at its headquarters in Riyadh.
In his speech on this occasion, Dr. Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel said that spending on information technology sector in the Kingdom has been witnessing increasing growth in recent years reaching SR 27 billion in 2010.
This expenditure number is expected to reach about SR 46.3 billion by 2015, according to Information Technology Report issued by the Communications and Information Technology Commission for the year 2010.
The first day of the conference featured four scientific sessions on information technology issues.
