At least fifteen people were killed when militants attacked a check post in the Khyber tribal region in northwest Pakistan, officials said. Four tribesmen and a paramilitary soldier were killed in the attack on Saturday night. Members of a tribal militia and security forces retaliated, killing 10 militants, Reuters reported.
