Tropical Storm Maria has turned north in the Atlantic, where it's forecast to pass near Bermuda, as AP reported. The storm's maximum sustained winds Wednesday are near 60 mph (95 kph) with some strengthening possible through Thursday and weakening likely to begin Friday. Maria is centered about 565 miles (910 kilometers) south-southwest of Bermuda, where a tropical storm warning is in effect, and is moving north near 14 mph (22 kph). The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says Maria will pass west of Bermuda on Thursday morning.
