AL discusses the political situation in Yemen

The 136th Regular Session of Arab League Council said the Yemeni Government did not request the Arab League to do anything as regards the current crisis in its country, noting that the Secretary General of the Arab League Dr. Nabeel Al-Arabi has made contacts yesterday with Yemen's Minister of Foreign Affairs and consultations today with his deputy Dr. Ali Muthanna dealing with the political situation in Yemen.
In a press conference following the meeting, Dr. Al-Arabi said the Yemeni side has informed the Arab League that it was waiting for the GCC's document to sign it to be followed by coordination between the Arab League, the GCC and the Islamic Cooperation Organization.
