Voters will go on 29 September, 2011, to the polling stations to choose 816 members of municipal councils. Judaie bin Nahar Al-Qahtani, the Spokesman for the General Election Commission, said that the number of council members in the current electoral cycle increased to 1632, half of whom will be elected at the day of ballot, compared to 1212 member in the previous electoral cycle. Al-Qahtani also said that the number of polling stations in this election cycle are 855 polling stations compared to 631 centers in the elections of the previous cycle.
