Riyadh and Al-Yaum newspapers said that the GCC countries in their ministerial meeting on Sunday, called on the Syrian regime for an immediate halt to bloodshed, noting that the GCC countries agree with other countries of the Arab world in calling on the Syrian government to pursue wisdom, stop the oppression, and make immediate reforms. They pointed out that there is no other solution in Syria rather than to stop oppression and make reforms, saying that the revolution will neither slow down nor give up after thousands of casualties and tens of thousands of detainees. The papers indicated that Arab countries have tried, behind walls, to open dialogue with the Syrian government to deal with more decent ways with its people, but it has ignored this, which forced some of these countries to withdraw their ambassadors from Syria.
