Three people were killed and several injured when a explosive-laden truck was detonated in front of a NATO base in Afghanistan, officials said Sunday. The vehicle exploded in Sayed Abad district of Wardak province late Saturday, provincial governor's spokesman Shahidullah Shahid was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA". "As a result of the explosion, an Afghan interpreter and a guard for coalition forces and one civilian was killed and at least 10 other civilians were wounded," Shahid said. He said foreign soldiers and Afghan guards were also injured. NATO confirmed that a suicide bomber had detonated explosives at the entrance of the base, causing several injuries.
