Saudi-European Economic Forum held here Saturday evening a number of dialogue sessions, one of them entitled "Arab-European Relations," which was addressed by Prince Turki Al-Faisal and the European Union (EU) Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht. The session was moderated by Saudi Ambassador and the Kingdom's representative to the European Common Market Faisal Trad. In an address, the European Union (EU) Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht said the surpluses of oil revenues enabled GCC states to achieve significant economic growth, consequently contributing to the expansion of their foreign trade, stressing that Europe is in need of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the GCC states are need of Europe. He called on the GCC countries to promote investment that in turn, will contribute to economic development and creation of new jobs. --MORE
