South Sudan's information minister says the new nation is planning to move its capital from the bustling but crowded city of Juba to a town that offers ample room to expand, AP reported. Marial Benjamin said Sunday that the government has secured more than 15 square miles (40 square kilometers) of land in the town of Ramciel, which he says lies along the Nile River in Lakes State. The current capital of Juba, in the south, only allocated less than 2 square miles (5 square kilometers). Benjamin says the plan's implementation will take several years. Deputy speaker Daniel Awet Akot says the city is some 150 miles (240 kilometers) north of Juba. He says it is also known as Ramchiel. -- SPA
