Prime Minister Julia Eileen Gillard, during a meeting here yesterday with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, pledged that Australia will provide $10 million for additional relief and support campaigns to lessen the impact of famine in Somalia and the Horn of Africa. Official sources said the talks between them also covered regional and international issues including the current situation in Libya and the Australian government's plans to resolve the issue of refugees who arrive in Australia on board the boats.
