Greece's culture ministry said Thursday police had recovered a 17th century painting by Flemish master Peter Paul Rubens that was stolen from a museum in Belgium a decade ago, according to dpa. Police arrested two Greeks who tried to sell the painting to an undercover officer for 1 million euros (1.43 million dollars). Reports said one of the men arrested is a 40-year-old television presenter. Experts from the culture ministry confirmed the authenticity of the painting, which dates back to 1618. A Rubens painting called "The Hunt for the Caledonian Wild Boar" was stolen from the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium by three marked robbers in 2001. The latter was left behind as the robbers tried to escape. -- SPA
