The Chairman of Libyan National Transitional Council Mustafa Abdul Jalil announced last night that the three-day battle of Tripoli has resulted at least in the killing of 400 people and wounding 2000 others. He pointed out that a large number of the wounded have been in hospitals that lack medical supplies and medicines, adding that there are many cases in need of being transferred abroad, demanding for the release of Libyan frozen assets to be spent on humanitarian basis. On the other hand, Libyan revolutionaries have tightened the siege of Sirte, the hometown and stronghold of Muammar Gaddafi, and began talks with local tribes to enter the city peacefully.
