Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud, Umm Al-Qura University will organize here on September 20, the Fourth Teachers Conference entitled "Roles and Responsibilities of the Teacher in Public and Higher Education towards the Phenomenon of Violence and Extremism in the light of Contemporary Changes and Demands of Citizenship". The University's President, Dr. Bakri bin Matouk Asas, said in a press conference yesterday that the King's patronage of the Conference shows his keenness and care for education, the improvement of the performance of teachers, and the enhancement of their positions. He pointed out that the theme of the Conference is in line with the wise policy adopted by the Saudi leadership to show moderation and highlight the Kingdom's efforts in combating the deviant thought.
