Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Ibn Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Province and Chairman of Hajj Central Committee, has directed to develop plans to transport Umrah performers and worshipers from and to the Holy Mosque of Makkah through modes of the public transport during the seasons of the blessed month of Ramadan and Hajj to form field committees to follow up the implementation of the plans. The Prince has also directed the Institute of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques of Umm Al-Qura University, to study and evaluate the experiences of public transport routes currently implemented during the blessed month of Ramadan. The University's President and Institute's General Supervisor Dr. Bakri bin Matouk Asas pointed out that the participation of the Institute along with other bodies concerned with the service of pilgrims and Umrah performers comes within the framework of the efforts of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud to improve the quality of services provided to them.
