Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir met here last night Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, who is currently visiting Sudan. In a statement after the meeting, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Karti said that his country agreed to give Chinese companies a franchise in the exploration and drilling for oil in three zones of new oil fields and re-structuring list of bilateral ties with the inclusion of vital avenues of strengthening cooperation in agriculture and mining. Karti said President Al-Bashir reiterated Sudan's keenness on developing its relations with China for the benefit of both peoples. "Moreover, the meeting focused on means of bolstering bilateral relations," he said, pointing out that China would implement special partnerships with Sudan in the fields of agriculture and mineral extraction. On his part, the Chinese Foreign Minister affirmed his country's keenness to strengthen its relations with Sudan in all fields.
