Indian activists in southern Mexico have staged a protest by displaying the bodies of three slain indigenous Triqui while demanding that authorities do more to end a conflict among rival Triqui groups, according to AP. Dozens of mourners in traditional long red dresses prayed over the caskets holding the activists who were shot to death Friday near Agua Fria Copala in Oaxaca state. State officials say they are seeking three alleged gunmen. Members of the Independent Triqui Indian Unification Movement say Sunday's demonstration was the only way to get the government's attention. The bodies were later taken for burial at Agua Fria Copala. The region has seen three groups locked in a decadeslong armed struggle that has led to dozens of killings.
