Two Egyptians killed in clashes with gunmen in North Sinai

Arish, Egypt , Sha'ban 28, 1432, July 29, 2011, SPA -- One Egyptian man and a police officer were killed and 12 were injured when dozens of gunmen clashed with Egyptian police Friday in Al-Arish city in North Sinai and attacked the police station, state media said according to dpa.
Around 150 people surrounded the police station and destroyed a statue of former president Anwar Sadat, who was killed in 1981.
Witnesses said that the attackers were not residents of the city.
