Efforts to reduce toxic fallout from the nuclear meltdown at Japan's Fukushima power plant following the devastating March earthquake are progressing smoothly, the head of the U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Monday. “Looking at the site, work is moving very smoothly,” said Yukiya Amano, the Director General of the IAEA said on Japanese public broadcasting network NHK. Only 16 reactors are operating in Japan out of 54 that had been available for power generation before the March disaster.
