U.S. President Barack Obama met with New Zealand's Prime Minister John Key in Washington on Friday to discuss the trans-Pacific Partnership free trade agreement, Afghanistan, and economic issues. Obama praised New Zealand's “outstanding” contribution in Afghanistan after the meeting with Key. “Whether its Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) settings, the East Asia summit … we have always found New Zealand to be an outstanding partner and Prime Minister Key has personally been an outstanding partner on this issue,” Obama said.
