Rescue workers are working deep underground to try to find two coal miners who are missing after a landslide 1200 kilometers (750 miles) northeast of Moscow, AP reported. The Emergencies Ministry said a miner was rescued Sunday nearly 24 hours after the landslide in the mine in the Komi region. It said 76 other miners were brought to the surface after the accident. The ministry said there were no signs whether the two missing miners were still alive. The landslide took place at a depth of about 740 meters (2,400 feet) in the Severnaya mine, which is run by a subsidiary of the major Russian steel company Severstal. -- SPA
