Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero on Monday announced a minor cabinet reshuffle, appointing Antonio Camacho as interior minister, dpa reported. Camacho had been secretary of state in the Interior Ministry headed by Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba, who announced his resignation before being confirmed as the governing Socialist Party's candidate for prime minister over the weekend. Zapatero had earlier announced that he would not seek a third term in general elections set for March 2012. Infrastructure Minister Jose Blanco will replace Rubalcaba as the government spokesman, Zapatero announced. Rubalcaba had also been the first among Spain's three deputy prime ministers. He will not be replaced, leaving Spain with only two deputy premiers, Economy Minister Elena Salgado and Territorial Policy Minister Manuel Chaves.
