Ghana's ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates on Saturday overwhelmingly selected incumbent President John Atta Mills as it's candidate for presidential elections scheduled next year, according to Reuters. Mills won 96.9 percent of the votes to defeat former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings at the party's primary. Mills is expected to face 2008 rival and main opposition candidate Nana Akufo Addo in the December 2012 poll.
