Pakistani police say hundreds of militants have crossed into Pakistan from Afghanistan and are attacking a border village, AP reported. It's the latest in a spate of such cross-border attacks, which have raised tensions between Kabul and Islamabad. There was no immediate word on casualties from Wednesday's attack in the district of Upper Dir. Area police official Gul Fazal Khan says authorities have sent paramilitary troops and police to help a band of armed tribesmen fend off the insurgents.
