Functions of "Faisal 9" Exercise began in Egypt today with participation of F-15 C/D Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft along Egyptian Air Force aircraft at Janacles Air Base. The Exercise lasts for 13 days to polish and upgrade the skills of air, technical, administrative crews backing up Saudi Forces. It aims also at consolidating military cooperation between the two brethren countries, exchange of fighting expertise in the field of supplying works and logistics in the domain of backing up battling operations. The functions witnessed carrying out a number of Air sorties which included close air fight, defensive and offensive counter-operations, close air back up and strategic offense. The exercise is the 9th to be conducted between the Royal Saudi Air Force and its Egyptian counterpart. The first took place in 1421 H. -- SPA
