The 38th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Organization of Islamic Cooperation's member states recommended the next Islamic summit to hold its meetings every 2-year instead of every 3-year. The meeting also recommended to establish a permanently independent commission for human rights, which was set provisionally to be in Jeddah at the Secretariat General of OIC. The meeting elected the 18 members of the commission. On the other hand, the meeting adopted a resolution concerning observer status in OIC, which shall pave the way for a several non-member states to enjoy that status. The closing session decided by vote that the next 39th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers will take place in Djibouti. -- SPA
