During its three-day proceedings, the Council will examine new proposals and other issues and recommendations adopted by the Council's previous session, according to a statement of the Foreign Ministry quoted by the Malaysian News Agency "Bernama." "Moreover, Malaysia will put forward before the Council a resolution focusing on the need to strengthen economic cooperation, and reduce poverty, boost cooperation in the areas of education, science and technology," the statement added. The statement also noted that this session would be suitable for Malaysia to renew its positions on political issues, economic and social mission at the international level, and strengthen the role it plays in the affairs that concern Muslims.
