The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) plans to launch the first project of geological tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the development of the first phase of the geological development of Sulfur Water Spring in Hafr Al-Baten Governorate. The project is located on an area of 3,500 square meters in the vicinity of the international highway between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The artisan well, which has been dug for more than 30 years, has two pools of hot sulfate water to be used for swimming and recuperation; its depth is about 2,700 meters; pumping 70 square meters of water with a temperature ranging between 60 and 70 degrees Celsius.
