King Abdullah II of Jordan returned here this morning from Kiev on conclusion of an official visit to Ukraine during which he held talks with President Viktor Yanukovych. A Jordanian official statement said that the talks dealt with ways of strengthening bilateral relations, especially in economic areas; the latest developments in the Middle East; efforts to achieve peace based on the two-state solution, and a number of regional and international issues. The Jordanian King also had talks with Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ukraine and its Prime Minister and discussed with him ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, especially in the exchange of experiences in legislative and parliamentary works, in addition to developments in the region.
