An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.4 has struck southeast Turkey but there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries, as AP reported. Istanbul-based Kandilli seismology center says the tremor occurred at 10:34 a.m. (0734 GMT) Thursday in the province of Elazig. Its epicenter was near the town of Icme. NTV news channel it was felt in neighboring regions. But Elazig's mayor, Suleyman Selmanoglu, told reporters no «problems» were reported in the province.
