Virgin Australia airline is joining Qantas and Jetstar in canceling flights between Australia and New Zealand because of ash from a Chilean volcano. Air New Zealand says it's still flying. According to AP, while Qantas and budget subsidiary Jetstar canceled flights as soon as the cloud drifted into airspace between the two countries over the weekend, Virgin has kept flying across the Tasman Sea. But Thursday, Virgin said the ash was too low to fly to New Zealand. Air New Zealand canceled some domestic flights Thursday morning, but all were back on by afternoon.
