The Institute of Diplomatic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized in cooperation with the Diplomatic Institute of the Republic of Iraq here on Monday evening a workshop entitled "Relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Iraq". In his speech, the Deputy of Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Jandan, expressed his pleasure over holding this workshop aiming at developing relations between the two countries. Addressing the workshop, the Director General of the Saudi Institute Dr. Abdul Karim bin Homoud Al-Dakhil said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always stresses the need for the respect of Iraq's unity, territorial integrity, non-interference in its internal affairs, and the necessity of rebuilding a unified Iraq on the basis of national reconciliation according to national fundamentals acceptable to the Iraqi people. On his part, Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr Ghanim Alwan al-Jumaili, described this scientific workshop as an opportunity to build relationships on the basis of cooperation between the Kingdom and Iraq, noting that it will be a springboard for stronger ties between the two countries.
