Saudi Dietetic Association (SDA) held here yesterday the third seminar on "Breast Cancer and Nutrition" at Riyadh Four Season Hotel with the participation of a select group of surgeons and consultants on oncology and radiology, radiation therapists, nutritionists, health education specialists and physiotherapists from major Saudi hospitals including The Riyadh Armed Forces Hospital and The King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Dammam. Presented at the Seminar were a number of lectures that highlighted topics related to breast cancer, including epidemiology of breast cancer and diagnostic procedures and prevention, as well as surgical procedures for patients with breast cancer. These lectures also addressed Dietetic and physical therapy for patients with breast cancer. On the fringe of the Seminar, an exhibition was also arranged to introduce Fortie Care, a nutritionally complete Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision produced by Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition. Meanwhile, SDA and Nutricia also signed an agreement to support future conferences and seminars.
