The Minister of Agriculture Dr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Balghunym, who is also the President of the Executive Council of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, chaired here today the Council's 38th session. In his opening speech, Dr. Balghunym said that the two-day session would discuss issues related to agricultural development strategy, the emergency program of Arab food security, and the development of joint Arab actions in the field of Arab agricultural development. On his part, the Director General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, Dr. Tarek Bin Musa Al-Zadjali emphasized the importance of the session in this time in light of the circumstances surrounding the region, pointing out that the previous session focused on employment to reduce unemployment as well as food security and the fight against poverty.
