At least 10 people were killed and more than 50 injured Wednesday as hundreds of angry men took to the streets in a northern Afghan town to protest the alleged killings of four civilians by NATO-led forces, officials said. Local medical facilities were overwhelmed by victims, mostly young men, said Mohammad Hassan Baseej, head of the public health department of Takhar province. Late Tuesday, troops of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) killed two women and two men when they raided a home in the province's capital Taleqan, said Shah Jehan Noori, the provincial police chief was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA" "They were all civilians," Noori said, condemning the assault, which he said was not coordinated with local forces.
