At least six people died in a blast on a passenger bus in the eastern Pakistani province of Punjab on Saturday, dpa quoted police as saying. The explosion was near the garrison city of Kharian, about 125 kilometres south-east of the capital Islamabad. Afzal Kausar, the district police chief, said there were more than 50 people on the bus. "Six people are killed and more than 10 wounded. We don't know yet the cause of the blast. It could be a suicide bomber travelling in the bus to hit some target. His explosive might have been detonated prematurely," Kausar said.
