Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived Thursday in Kabul to discuss security and regional developments with Afghan authorities, officials said. During his two-day visit, Singh is expected meet with President Hamid Karzai later on Thursday, and is slated to address the parliament on Friday, the presidential palace said. It is Singh's first visit to Afghanistan in six years, as dpa reported. "India's commitment to assisting the people of Afghanistan is enduring and has weathered many storms," Singh said in statement prior to his departure to Kabul.
