The Jordanian Government welcomed the decision of the leaders and heads of delegations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) accepting its request to join the group. In a statement, the government said this came as a result of intensive efforts exerted by the Jordanian monarch and his colleagues the leaders of the GCC to further consolidate the close relations binding the countries and peoples of the region and enhance the common factors. Jordan is looking forward to continue dialogue among foreign ministers of the GCC and its foreign minister Nasser Joda to fulfill the requirements of Jordan's admission to the GCC, the statement said.
