The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed the leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States to their 13th Consultative Meeting to be held in Riyadh tomorrow. The King wished them all success in continuing the march of GCC joint action and achieving the aspirations of the leaders and peoples of GCC member states. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the message he received from President Asif Ali Zardari of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Cabinet listened to a report on the developments in a number of Arab countries. The Cabinet emphasized the importance of stopping the bloodshed and preserving the unity, security and stability of brotherly Arab countries and their peoples. The Cabinet expressed appreciation for the two statements issued by the 12th Consultative Meeting of the GCC Interior Ministers as well as the 2nd Joint Ministerial Meeting of GCC-China Strategic Dialogue which was held in Abu Dhabi. --More
