Awwal 25, 1432 / April 29, 2011, SPA -- Madagascar's interim leader flew to Zambia on Friday, after a previous attempt to reach the African nation was cancelled after what his government called an "act of sabotage, according to dpa. Andry Rajoelina is set to meet Zambian President Rupiah Bwezani Banda, a government statement said. The first flight was aborted Wednesday and returned safely to Madagascar after being in the air for about 20 minutes. Investigations into the incident were still underway. Last month, a bomb exploded under a car carrying Rajoelina. Rajoelina, a former DJ and mayor of Antananarivo, ousted president Marc Ravalomanana in 2009 and appointed himself as transitional president. Rajoelina's regime has often been the target of international and domestic criticism, with opponents charging it with abuses of power and, at times, ineptitude.
