Awwal 20, 1432, April 24, 2011, SPA -- Prince Turki Ibn Nasser Ibn Abdulaziz, President-General of Presidency of Meteorology and Environment and President of Saudi Society for Environmental Sciences, patronized here on Saturday evening the inauguration ceremony of the Forum on World Earth 2011, in the presence of Prince Sultan Ibn Salman Ibn Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities. Addressing the ceremony, Prince Turki Ibn Nasser Ibn Abdulaziz said that the support provided by the Government to the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment in its capacity as a responsible body for environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has had clear and significant impacts on increasing its capabilities and expanding its fields to include everything that affects the environment of citizens, their health and safety of environment as well as its protection. In another speech , Prince Sultan Ibn Salman Ibn Abdulaziz said that the State has realized the integrated relationships between tourism and environment and stressed that the development of the national tourism on the basis of environmental sustainability has been major tasks and shared responsibilities requiring the concerted efforts of all people, pointing to the attention paid by the Commission since its inception to the environment and considering it as a major hub of National Tourism Development Projects.
