Awwal 19, 1432, April 23, 2011, SPA -- Philippine troops and volunteers on Saturday dug through thick mud in search for 21 people missing in a landslide at a gold mining village, officials said. The number of survivors rose to 15 after rescuers pulled out nine more people from the rubble on Saturday, said Major Jake Obligado, an army commanding officer. "But 21 more are reported missing," Obligado was quoted as saying by the German Press Agency "DPA". Three people were confirmed killed in Friday's landslide in the village of Kingking in Pantukan town, Compostela Valley, 980 kilometres south of Manila.
